Construction Manager = Abilene, TX 79607 System One has a temp to hire employment conversion opportunity for a Construction Manager. Will be responsible for oversight of our client's construction efforts including the technical liaison between owner, general contractor, user and related agencies. - US citizens ONLY due to government / federal requirements for this position. Will be supporting projects on Dyess AFB. Important employment information Temp to hire employment conversion (client can start direct hire process after 520 hours) United States Citizenship is required Drug screen / background check / other government requirements NO per diem or relocation is offered / local candidate preferred We expect the Construction Manager to have the following education/experience: 4-year degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a similar construction-related field or equivalent construction work experience. 8 years of construction management experience involving vertical construction in a role of either Construction Manager, Owner's Representative, Construction Administration, Quality Assurance, or Project Manager. Ability to perform in a lead capacity on a project. Primavera P6 and RS Means experience preferred. US citizens ONLY due to government / federal requirement. The candidate should be assertive, demonstrate leadership, possess the ability to problem solve; be technically competent in aforementioned responsibilities, be fluent in Microsoft Office applications; and understand the construction management process. Individuals should be highly motivated and possess good written and oral communication skills. CONSTRUCTION MANAGER: Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Quality Assurance observations and reporting of the physical work; produce construction change scope and cost estimates; technical reviews and recommending responses to RFIs, proposals, submittals, CPM schedules, pay applications, contractor's correspondence, etc.; interpretation of contract documents; forecasting potential progress delays; job files; reporting and data input into a CM system; photo documentation; monthly reporting, and making recommendations to the client as required.
