Senior Specialist : Human Resources Abi Requisition ID 11400BR Work Location Abilene Org Level 1 Texas Tech Univ Health Sciences Ctr Campus HSC : Abilene Department Human Resources Abi Position Description Performs specialized, complex work to assist in the organization and implementation of various projects and programs. Work is performed under supervision within established guidelines with performance based on overall results obtained. Major/Essential Functions Assists applicants with internet:based application system either in person or over the phone. Assists with monitoring the applicant tracking system by opening and closing positions; reviews postings for accuracy. Assists with new hire onboarding tasks, and assembles orientation packets for all new employees. Assists all employees with their benefit (insurance and retirement) enrollment forms. Scans documents into the electronic Human Resources (HR) record for each employee; ensures forms are accurately placed in the appropriate electronic file. Files and maintains other HR related files. Completes and maintains spreadsheets, and other tracking databases. Run and maintain routine reports and other documents as assigned. Process all outgoing mail and pick up incoming mail. Utilize the Human Resource Information System to provide information when requested. Occasional Duties Schedule conference rooms and/or classrooms for orientation and other training events. Order and maintain office supplies. Required Qualifications High school plus five years experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications High School plus 5 years of administrative/clerical experience. Preference is given for HR:related office experience. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
